update on walks
I have since done a few more walks. I was unable to make it to the FAAN walk in MI but I was able to get my shirt. I'm hoping to make it next year.
I helped with the 2nd DSAW of the Fox Cities walk and have both my volunteer shirt and the walk shirt for that.
The next walk that I'm doing is the Freaky 5k which is through the YMCA and is tomorrow.
I am also doing to Turkey Trots this year, one in MI and one in WI. I'm hoping to do the Jingle Bell Run/Walk for Arthritis also.
I'll get up pitcures from the pervious walks when I can.

Walks...
So this year we start of pretty much winging it on our walks. We signed up for March for Babies, but didn't raise enough money to get the offical shirt, but we did get the team captain shirts from the kick off.
Today, we walked the Sam I Am...I Do Not Like Tumors associated with Littlest Tumor Foundation (http://www.littlesttumorfoundation.com/). They had the option for either 2.5 mile or 5 mile. Those of us who walked (Sandy, Shanna, Penny, Corbin, Harrison, and myself) all completed the 2.5 mile in under a hour. We are happy about that.

Non-Stop
We plan to do be non-stop in our efforts to raise money for these causes. We will take ideas for fundraising- be it raffle ideas or items to sell such as popcorn or cheesecakes-all suggestions are welcomed.
Also, one thing we have been doing, it's not much but every little bit helps, the money we get from cashing in our aluminum cans goes to the walks. We split it between the too. So if you'd like to help that way.
We also do a book/craft sale and will except books and crafts from anyone who is willing to send them our way. Books of all kinds are excepted, we just ask that they be in reasonable shape. Plus with the crafts, please give us an idea of what it should sell for.
So if you'd like to help just E-mail us

Home Team: Alzheimer's Association-Memory Walk
Memory Walk is the nation's largest event to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer care, support and research. Since 1989, Memory Walk has raised more than $260 million for the cause.
All Memory Walk donations benefit the Alzheimer's Association, the leading voluntary health organization in Alzheimer care, support and research. The mission of the Alzheimer's Association is to eliminate Alzheimer's disease through the advancement of research; to provide and enhance care and support for all affected; and to reduce the risk of dementia through the promotion of brain health.
Today as many as 5.3 million Americans are living with Alzheimer's disease. Millions more are affected by the disease as they care for loved ones who battle the devastating symptoms.
When you participate in the Alzheimer's Association Memory Walk®, you are taking action in the fight against this deadly disease. Join us today to get on the MOVE!
(I apologize for how random these thoughts sound but Memory Walk doesn't have a nice little caption like March for Babies)
